Location

Vomo Island Resort Fiji is located amongst the beautiful Mamanuca archipelago and nestled just below Fiji’s popular Yasawa group. Vomo is a privately owned 225 acre property; 80 acres are manicured grounds, with the smooth golf course at one end of the island to the dramatic cliffs at the other. Mount Vomo rises on the eastern side of the island and provides spectacular 360 degree views. Just offshore, the coral reefs are teeming with underwater life and the fine white sand and crystal clear waters are stunning. Vomo Island is situated 30km west of Fiji’s Nadi International Airport, just a short 15 minute seaplane or helicopter ride away.

Facilities

Vomo offers amenities and activities for a holiday packed with adventure or relaxation. The secluded beaches give you the chance to wind down at your own pace. You can take a helicopter tour, explore the island on foot or visit a nearby local village where you can experience the unique Fijian way of life. The snorkelling around Vomo and Vomo Lailai is exceptional and is accessible via the daily snorkelling excursions and from the beach. Explore Vomo Lailai, a true deserted island with a perfect white sand beach, just a short distance to the west of Vomo. The island is completely private, within sight and radio contact of Vomo but far enough away for you to feel isolated. Vomo Lailai can be reserved for picnics, romantic getaways or for relaxing alone. Vomo staff will deliver you, your lunch and your choice of beverages to the island, leaving you with a two-way radio, what a perfect way to relax and unwind in private. All meals are included and soft drinks during meals times in the Reef, main restaurant. Dining

The Reef Restaurant is set right in the heart of the resort overlooking the main pool and out to the water. The menu changes daily, with a-la carte dining at each meal. The restaurant has several feature nights that showcase local produce with a fusion of traditional and contemporary cooking methods. Private dining is also popular, and guests can dine al fresco at their villa or with a candlelit dinner on the beach.

Entertainment

The Rocks Bar is open daily from 5-7pm, located at the western tip of the island overlooking an expanse of fine white sand and across the water to Vomo Lailai. The Rocks Bar is perfect for enjoying a spectacular sunset with a tropical cocktail in hand. The Vuda Bar offers an extensive wine and cocktail list, with open air seating creating an atmosphere ideal for relaxing with a drink or snack at any time of the day or evening. In the evening, the Vomo Entertainment Group play a selection of Fijian and international music. The traditional Lovo Night is held once a week and includes a selection of Meke dances and songs performed by the Vomo Meke Group, which tell many of the legends and stories of the native Fijians. This is followed by a torch lighting ceremony and an intimate Kava ceremony.

The Royal Villa is located at the Eastern end of the island and nestled into the base of Mount Vomo. and is a private oasis of stylish Fijian living. The Royal Villa houses 3 king-sized ensuite bedrooms, a separate living area with entertainment system and an expansive outdoor area, private pool, double daybed and poolside shower. Family Friendly Facilities

We know that spending quality time with family throughout the year can be difficult, which is why we welcome families to Vomo throughout the entire year. Vomo’s ‘Kids Village’ is a dedicated facility for younger guests with an under-4’s room, kitchen for cooking classes, media room, craft tables and large outdoor areas. Kids Village supervisors entertain children during the day and into the evening. The Kids Village includes group activities such as learning Fijian songs and dances for the Meke performance, treasure hunts and crab hunting. Fun buffet dinners are served and extra supervision is provided into the night. The Kids Village is open daily and is complimentary. À la carte kids meals can be ordered and served in the Kids Village with parents welcome to join their children. Children under 4 must be accompanied by a baby butler or nanny in the Kids Village.
