However if the privacy and seclusion get the better of you then shops, restaurants and bars of Port Vila are only 20 minutes away.

Only 20 minutes from Vanuatu’s capital, Port Vila & 30 minutes from the International Airport.

Facilities

As a guest of the resort there are plenty of things to do. Hop on the motorised boats complete with driver, take out a kayak or try your hand at snorkelling or surfing, these even resort activities run by the activities staff. If you are looking for a little more adventure the staff can arrange tours including off shore fishing, game fishing and snorkelling. If that sounds like to much excitement for your holiday you can always book into the Day Spa for a massage treatment or manicure.

If you are looking at exploring the town , they have thought of that as well, jump on the daily shuttle bus to Port Vila departs at 10.00am and arrives back at 1.00pm just in time for an afternoon swim or a nap – what’ even better is – that’s included in the rates as well.

Dining

Set on Eratap beach with views out to the Big Island sits the resort’s restaurant. With lounge areas, bar, open verandah and terrace it is a great place to watch the day unfold or the sunset of an evening. Enjoy a pre dinner drink, dine under the stars on the terrace or kick off your shoes and have a meal on the beach.

The Chef will create a daily selection of local and international cuisine prepared using the freshest locally grown produce. Sample Vanuatu’s famous organic beef, fresh lobster or the superb flesh of the deep sea “poulet” fish. Enjoy organic fruit and vegetables grown in the red volcanic soil of Vanuatu. Select from a wide range of fine Australian, New Zealand and French wines or sample the island cocktails. For a more intimate occasion have dinner by candlelight on your villa deck or your beach side lounge pavilion.

The kitchen opens at 7.00am and stays open all day till 10.00pm – so no need to eat during set times, just dine when you feel inclined. Resort Guests are not required to book a table, one will always be available.

Entertainment

Entertainment is provided at the Restaurant on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights. Monday night’s is the infamous Fire Show performed by the “Wan Smal Bag Theatre Company”. An amazing fire dance spectacle danced to the beat of the latest hit tunes. Wednesday night is cultural dancing night performed by the legendary Ekasup Cultural Dance Group. This group have performed all round the world showcasing the unique “bottle” music of Vanuatu. To finish the week off Friday nights is free wine tasting and local “nibblies”. Enjoy a range of French whites and reds whilst experiencing some local food (kaikai) – prepared that afternoon during our Chef’s demonstration.

Room Facilities

Eratap Beach Resort has 12 luxury villas. All are absolute beachfront or waterfront with separate lounge and bedroom pavilions. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and are air conditioned. Each villa is elegantly furnished in modern Asian and Melanesian style.

The One Bedroom Villa is ideally suited to couples or singles looking for space and privacy. This villa has a separate lounge and master bedroom pavilion and is 70m2 in size (excluding decks and outdoor shower). The master bedroom features a large bedroom with king size bed and two sets of double French doors opening out onto private decks for uninterrupted ocean views. A large ensuite bathroom includes a generous bath and choice of an internal shower or an external courtyard shower. The separate lounge room pavilion features lounge chairs, tea and coffee making facilities, bar fridge, TV and DVD player. This pavilion opens out onto a vast deck, with sun lounges, and lawn stretching out to the beach just metres from the door. Maximum occupancy: 2 adults (one child can be accommodated in a cot or rollaway)

The resort has four Two Bedroom Villas ideally suited for either friends, two couples or a family. These villas have two separate bedrooms each with ensuite bathrooms. The master bedroom also has an outdoor shower courtyard and there is a separate lounge room with private deck. As the villas have separate pavilions with each bedroom located on either side, privacy is maintained.

There is one 3 Bed Villa situated on the main point of the resort. This is a large commanding villa with three separate pavilions, each facing a different direction to fully utilize the 180 degree views. The bedroom wings are linked to the central lounge room pavilion by enclosed corridors. The master bedroom pavilion is air conditioned with ensuite indoor bathroom and an outdoor shower courtyard. The second and third bedrooms share a second bathroom and contain a king size bed and two single beds. While ideally suited to larger families or two couples this villa is available to anyone wanting a very special experience.

Plunge Pool Villa 9 is a one bedroom villa located on the point overlooking the two islands offshore from the resort. A plunge pool has been added to provide a very romantic and private setting.

Plunge Pool Villa 10 is the only Two Bedroom Villa with a plunge pool situated next to Honeymoon Beach. It is ideal for couples, friends and families wanting their own pool and privacy.

Honeymoon Villa 11 is situated on its own point this villa enjoys spectacular sunrises and sunsets all year round. With views of all four offshore islands and its very own covered outdoor lounge area it holds a premium position in the resort. The configuration is the same as the One bedroom villa with the addition of a plunge pool by the waters edge for the ultimate romantic dip.

Honeymoon Villa 12 is situated on Etlau Lagoon facing north to Eratap island this villa is extremely private with wonderful views across the lagoon. With a beautiful outdoor lounge pavilion and a romantic plunge pool on the waters edge this is a perfect couples villa.

Family Offers

Eratap Beach Resort specifically caters for children aged between 7 and 15 years during designated family weeks. Outside these dates children under 16 are not permitted at the resort. During these family weeks organised children activities are offered.
